Textron Systems Unmanned Systems has announced that it has become a member of the Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) organisation in the US.
C-UAS is part of the Industry/University Cooperative Research Center programme of the US National Science Foundation (NSF). The centre is a UAS research organisation funded by the NSF that is designed to bring together the research and development needs of industry with university research capabilities.
As a participant, Textron has said that it will contribute its experience in designing, operating, maintaining and manufacturing UAS technologies. In addition to its work supplying its Aerosonde and Shadow UAS to customers worldwide, the company will bring its expertise within the UAS command and control domain to the centre.
