It’s one thing to have the tooth fairy come and get your baby tooth from under your pillow and a whole other one to have a squirrel snatch it right out of your mouth.
David Freiheit, 37, had the perfect setup for a hilarious video: Attach dental floss to his daughter Mila’s loose baby tooth and tether the other end to a granola bar. Then, let the hungry, hungry Westmount Park squirrels make off with the treat all while pulling the tooth out.
A world first, Freiheit believes.
“She was totally into it, but we didn’t know if it would work,” he said of his six-year-old daughter.
This wasn’t the first time the ingenious dad came up with a quirky plan for a video. Last August, Freiheit was able to remove yet another of Mila’s teeth with the help of a drone — a video that garnered over 200,000 views on YouTube.
He also once had his GoPro camera stolen by a squirrel who took it up in a tree. Why? For fun, he says.
“They’re lighthearted videos I hope can make people smile,” Freiheit said of the videos he posts to his channel weekly.
“We’ll have to figure out something totally unique for the next one.”
